Dental implants are essentially permanent, attached teeth that replace dentures or partials and replace missing teeth.
A titanium implant is permanently attached to your jaw and a prosthetic tooth (crown) is attached to the implant. Implants require one or two outpatient or office surgeries and take from three to nine months to complete.
Several implants may be placed in areas where more than one tooth is missing. The surgery to place the implant takes less than an hour. The procedure is relatively painless and most people return to work the next day.
